Yes she was built in Stellenbosch where the owner Cornelius Bruynzeel lived and had a plywood factory. The yacht was built in the yard of the factory. When launched she was registered in Amsterdam Holland as South Africa was not welcomed in a few countries due to political reasons. I crewed on her twice. First time in 1963 to cross the South Atlantic to Brazil then up through the West Indies to New York then we did the Newport/Bermuda race and got line honours. The second time I crewed on her from Auckland NZ to Australia to do the 1965 Sydney to Hobart race. We got line honours then as well. My name is Kelvin Alston now retired and living in Tasmania. I’m 85.
