Classic Regatta
Stormvogel complies with the Mediterranean CIM Classic Yacht definition; Yachts built of wood, launched before December 31st 1975 and the USA CRF rating; Yachts designed between 1950 and 1980 that are built primarily of wood that have been built, maintained or restored with materials and methods consistent with their original design.
During Stormvogel’s restoration period the originality of design, construction and materials used including the rig plan have all been maintained with originality as a driving focus.
In 2007 and 2008 Stormvogel campaigned in the Mediterranean Panerai Classic Yacht Regattas with great results winning her division in the 2008 season.
Racing in several Antigua Classic Week regattas over the years & the British Classic Week regatta in 2021 Stormvogel has performed well and is competitive as an original classic yacht.
The 2021 Voiles de Saint Tropez was a great event for Stormvogel’s 60th anniversary after the restoration period and arrival back into the Mediterranean Classic Yacht circuit.
